Kings / Tulare Continuum of Care on Homelessness

About This Client
The Kings/Tulare Continuum of Care on Homelessness is a community-based, long range plan that addresses the needs of the homeless in order to help them reach maximum self-sufficiency. The Continuum of Care is developed through collaboration with a broad cross section of the community and based on a thorough assessment of homeless needs and resources.

What We Did For Them

WEB RESCUE: This client already had a website and was in the process of attempting to build a new one themselves using a do it yourself web builder service called InMotion SiteBuilder®. As is usually the case, such systems fail to deliver the ease of use and flexibility of features required to build a truly great website.

A big concern to the client was the ability to update the site content themselves. They also needed an easy method of uploading and managing a large library of PDF files for visitors to download that included years of meeting agendas and minutes. We provided them the solution they needed with a strong design in the timeframe promised. The design went through several modifications and still we were able to make the committed deadline.

The success of this project was largely due to the client’s willingness to review and discuss items related to the website either the next day or within 3 days of our request for a phone review or meeting. They understood the importance of a collaborative relationship and so were able to get what they needed.

VCARE Health Systems

About This Client
VCARE Health Systems™ is headed by Bowflex® founder Sandy Wheeler. This is the company’s third iteration of their website, the first also having been built by MJ Penner Consulting when the company was known as Oasis Medical. The company’s core product is a scientifically advanced muscle stimulation machine, the VST MyoDynamic Device™, that emits an electrical waveform uniquely engineered to reduce edema and other problems that interfere with healing damaged muscles.

What We Did For Them
We built all three versions of their website, elaborating on the basic design elements with each iteration and in some cases keeping much of the content that we wrote together. We also wrote their VST MyoDynamick Device white paper. To do this we interviewed the scientists and engineers that created the machine, as well as consulting with clinical specialists.

This latest version of the website was re-built on the WordPress framework, with social media capabilities integrated into it as part of their online web marketing push. This gives VCARE full control over the content without having to use our Rapid Response Content Update Service, and frees them to try out different ideas on their own.
